2015/5/2 Sagan Tosu 1-1 Vissel Kobe
Still plagued by injuries Vissel Kobe went into this away match with the returning Jung Woo Young in the centre of a back three. Ryo Okui came in on the right wing, while Hideo Tanaka and Masatoshi Mihara anchored the centre of midfield. Keijiro Ogawa was given the central attacking role, flanked by Marquinhos and Kazuma Watanabe.
Vissel travelled on the back of a narrow defeat to Nagoya Grampus in the week and were soon down to a Yohei Toyoda goal, the Sagan Tosu ace heading home from a corner as the clock ticked over three minutes. Kim Min Woo had a chance to double the lead less than ten minutes later, finding himself unmarked as the cross came over, but he headed wide with the goal at his mercy!
After that escape Vissel began to get more into the game and Takahito Soma came close with a piledriver in the 36th minute, but The game entered the break with just the single goal.
Vissel came out for the second half and were almost level within two minutes of the restart, Akihiro Hayashi in the home goal just got his fingers to an Okui cross enough to deflect it out of the path of Ogawa sliding in. It was Ogawa again, almost on the end of a Marquinhos cross in the 83rd minute, but being bundled over from behind as he was about to pounce. A penalty kick would not have been harsh there!
Vissel, and Ogawa, finally got their just reward in the 77th minute. Mihara found Marquinhos from midfield. The Brazilian one-touched it to Ogawa who, with his controlling touch took it between two defenders with ease and then he slipped the ball across the advancing keeper for his fourth goal of the season.
Vissel were now going for all three points and Jung hit the bar with a thirty yard blast a minute after the goal, but a point was all the visitors returned home with in the end.
