2015/5/30 Vissel Kobe 0-1 Vegalta Sendai
It was 11th against 13th as Vissel Kobe entertained Vegalta Sendai and it was the away team that performed a venerable smash n' grab of all three points thanks to a goal from Hidetaka Kanazono.
Still missing the likes of Marquinhos, Masatoshi Mihara, Takahito Soma and Kunie Kitamoto, there was some light at the end of the injury tunnel with Bueno seemingly back to full fitness, Pedro Junior making his first start in 11 matches, and Michihiro Yasuda on the bench, too.
Vissel worked the wings today and Ryo Okui, on the left, forced a save out of the keeper as early as the 4th minute. It was Okui, too, who fed Kazuma Watanabe in the 6th minute, the forward foiled by the in-form Yuji Rokutan in the Vegalta goal.
It was all Vissel for the first half an hour, Keijiro Ogawa also coming close with a shot deflected just wide but it was the away team who got the breakthrough just after the half hour mark when Kanazono converted a pass from Wilson for his second goal of the season.
Watanabe then came close again from a low Okui cross, while Jung Woo-Young saw a free kick fly inches past the post just before the break.
Vissel went looking for the equaliser in the second period, but the luck of the away team held as substitute Daisuke Ishizu hit the bar in the 70th minute before Jung did the same in additional time. Both woodwork shots bounced down just outside the line, emphasising that it was not Vissel Kobe's day today!
