2015/6/7 Gamba Osaka 0-0 Vissel Kobe

A Kansai Derby stalemate did neither team any good as Gamba Osaka lost ground on J1 leaders Urawa Reds, while Vissel Kobe ended the day in 12th position with 15 points - no-man's land as the First Stage of the season entered the final straight.

The match was a dire affair as both teams struggled to create anything worthwhile and, with the next J1 match scheduled on June 20th, against Urawa Reds - looking to clinch the First Stage title - Vissel may find points hard to come by on that day, although, ironically, they could well do neighbours Gamba a favour by beating Urawa to keep the title race open for another week after that.

The match was only notable for Vissel fans in that both Pedro Junior and Michihiro Yasuda started after injuries had forced them out for much of the season and, to add to the optimism for the near future, Marquinhos also made an appearance just after the hour mark. Are the injuries finally starting to clear up?!

Bring on Urawa Reds!
