2015/7/29 Vissel Kobe 0-4 Sanfrecce Hiroshima

Vissel Kobe went into this match hoping to curtail Sanfrecce Hiroshima's 2nd Stage winning streak, and started well against the team sitting atop the division. Jung Woo-Young saw a superb 30 yard blast rattle off the crossbar in the 8th minute as the home team took the game to their visitors.

Despite the promising start and early possession Sanfrecce took the lead through Douglas on 15 minutes, after a through ball from Hisato Sato split the defence. Less than ten minutes later Sato himself added the second to put the visitors in control.

Gakuto Notsuda then made the most of a challenge from Kaito Yamamoto to earn himself a dubious penalty kick, which he duly converted, and it was 3-0 at the break.

Any hope of a comeback in the second half was soon killed off when Toshihiro Aoyama bundled Ryota Morioka off the ball deep in the Vissel half. With no foul given, the number 6's backheel out of the melee fell fortunately for Sato advancing on goal. The Sanfrecce legend then set up Douglas again to put the game well beyond the reach of the home team.

Just to rub it in, Leandro missed two easy chances as the game wound down to end as the fortune all went the way of Sanfrecce today. A match best forgotten by Vissel Kobe!
