2015/8/12 Kashiwa Reysol 2-0 Vissel Kobe
Vissel Kobe went into this match with a very adventurous, attacking formation, with former Reysol marksman Leandro in a top three, flanked by Daisuke Ishizu and Kazuma Watanabe.
Ishizu looked lively early on and saw a shot blocked by a desperate defensive lunge before the home team opened the scoring from nowhere, when Masato Kudo made space in the right channel and his unselfish pass found Ederson in space to sidefoot the ball home from close range.
Shunki Takahashi then had the home keeper scrambling low to his left to make the save, but it went in 1-0 at the break.
Vissel came out for the second half looking for goals and Watanabe and Morioka came close with low shots as they pressured the home goal. Next to see action was Ishizu, again, who hit the inside of the post after beating his defender - the goal in front of the away fans living a charmed life.
As is so often the case, of course, in football, with one team pushing forward and looking for a goal, the team under pressure can break, and score against the run of play. And, so, Reysol did just that. With just less than 20 minutes to go Cristiano broke down the right wing. The Brazilian's cross was easily dealt with and cleared but Naoki Wako came storming in and half volleyed home the second ball to double Kashiwa's lead and seal the points.
After two losses in a row, either side of the international break, Vissel will be looking for the points against Kawasaki Frontale on Sunday, August 16th. Be there!
