2015/8/22 Ventforet Kofu 1-0 Vissel Kobe

Vissel Kobe went into this match unchanged for the third game in-a-row, but still missing Pedro Junior, Keijiro Ogawa and Marquinhos, as, just as in the 1st Stage, injuries mounted. Ventforet featured former Vissel man Yukio "Baoru" Tsuchiya in their defence.

It took until the 37th minute for Vissel to register a goal attempt, Shohei Takahashi getting on the end of a Jung Woo-young free kick, but heading straight at the keeper. Ventforet had not yet had a shot on target either, by this time and the match was heading for a well-needed break so that the managers could try to motivate their players! Bare did eventually force Kaito Yamamoto into action before the break but the game did indeed go into half time scoreless.

Highlights were few and far between in the second period, also, Shohei Takahashi got on the end of another free kick, but his header was wide, while Bare forced another save out of Yamamoto in the 65th minute.

The breakthrough finally came in the 68th minute, and it was from a mis-controlled ball by Jung way up in the opposing half, but Ventforet broke with speed and a through ball found Bare with time to advance and poke the ball past the keeper for the deciding goal in an overall unexciting contest.
