2015/9/26 Nagoya Grampus 2-0 Vissel Kobe
Kunie KItamoto was recalled to the starting XI to marshall the defence a week after his 34th birthday he was joined in the starters by Asahi Masuyama and Pedro Junior as manager Nelsinho rang the changes to his line-up.
It was a quiet first period as the teams felt each other out with Jung Woo-young finally making the opposing keeper work with a 25 yard curler that had Seino Narazaki scrambling, and relieved to see it go past his left hand post in the 23rd minute.
Narazaki then saved at close range from Masuyama just before the half hour to keep the game scoreless as Vissel threatened, but it was the home team that opened the scoring, Tulio pouncing on a lucky ricochet from his team-mate's foot that hit him on the back of the ankle. The centre back turned forward was quick enough to react and poked into an empty goal from short range in the 35th minute to leave Nagoya in front at the break.
Tulio did know what he was doing eight minutes after the restart though, as he slid in and dispossessed Ryota Morioka running across the midfield looking for a pass. Tulio's tackle saw the ball fall to Isomura who slipped it aside to the already upright Tulio who, in turn flicked it aside to Yoshizumi Ogawa, who rifled the ball home to double his team's lead.
Yosuke Tashiro made an appearance for Daisuke Ishizu just after the hour mark and it was the 20-year-old forward who almost pulled a goal back for Vissel, sliding into a superb low cross from Masuyama, but the ball eluded everyone as it flew across the front of the goal and Nagoya took all three points.
