2015/10/3 Vissel Kobe 0-2 Kashima Antlers

Saying goodbye to any lingering hopes of a 2nd Stage top three finish, Vissel Kobe succumbed to Kashima Antlers - riding high in J1 - in this J1 match and will be hoping they can do better against the same opposition in their Nabisco Cup semi-final 1st Leg on the coming Wednesday evening.

Neither team really impressed over 90 minutes but the away team took the points on a Shuto Yamamoto header after 25 minutes and then a lucky ricochet that fell to Caio to prod into an open goal with 12 minutes remaining.

Noevir Stadium saw a healthy attendance of almost 17,000 fans, but, unfortunately the majority of them went home disappointed.

The disappointing result left Vissel 11 points away from a 3rd place - 2nd Stage play-off - qualifying position with just four league games to play and left the club ready to concentrate on Nabisco Cup glory.

The game itself saw Kunie Kitamoto get the start in central defence, flanked by Bueno and Shohei Takahashi, while Pedro Junior also started up front.

Team - Tokushige, Bueno, Kitamoto (Tanaka, 46), Iwanami, Sho.Takahashi, Soma, Jung, Mihara, Morioka, Pedro Junior (Masuyama, 77), Leandro (Ishizu, 57)

Attendance: 16,871
