2017/2/28 Leandro Injury Means Six Months Out
After suffering an injury on the J.League 2017 season's opening match, Leandro - J.League Golden Boot holder with 19 goals in 2016 - was confirmed as having suffered a torn left anterior cruciate ligament.
The initial prognosis wasn't good and tests have indeed confirmed that the Brazilian ace will miss a large proportion of this season, with initial comments from team officials saying that he will hopefully be back in September.
A tragic blow for a player in his prime and severe knock to the plans of team manager Nelsinho. Get well soon, Leandro!
