Omiya Ardija 0-2 Vissel Kobe

Despite lacking the services of Leandro and Keijiro Ogawa up front, and Wataru Hashimoto at left back, Vissel Kobe returned to winning ways - making it five wins out of six for the seasn - against a hapless Omiya Ardija, who remained anchored to the bottom of J1 without a point to their name in 2017.

Vissel looked like scoring long before Yuya Nakasaka finally broke the deadlock in the 37th minute when Kazuma Watanabe latched onto a misplaced back pass and pulled the ball back from the left goal line for Nakasaka to drill home with aplomb.

The half time stats showed a single goal attempt for the home team, while Vissel had dominated with ten shots at the target and they soon doubled the score and put the game to rest soon after the break when Takuya Iwanami blasted home the ball with his right foot after a game of pinball in the home area! 2-0. Three points, but almost three goals as substitute Shuhei Otsuki almost broke the crossbar with a fine blast!

And so, by the end of the day, Vissel were back on top of the division and looking forward to the visit of struggling Kashiwa Reysol in their next J1 game, and certainly another very winnable match!
