Vissel Kobe 3-0 Fukuoka University [Emperor’s Cup]

Vissel made light work of the boys from Fukuoka University in this 98th Emperor's Cup 2nd Round tie at Noevir Stadium. Goals from Hirotaka Mita, Masatoshi Mihara and Wellington made sire that Vissel progressed to the 3rd round and a meeting with JEF United Chiba, at Fukuda Denshi Arena on July 11th.

Daisuke Nasu got the start at right back tonight while 19-year-old Takuya Yasui got another start in midfield as he slowly gains experience and adds to the team's arsenal. Yuya Nakasaka also got 20 minutes as a substitute as he continues his comeback to full fitness.

Mita opened the scoring in the 26th minute to give his team a 1-0 half time lead, although it could well have been more, with Vissel in complete control of this match. Mihara added the second goal six minutes before the hour mark to allow the home team a little more relaxation as the gap widened and Wellington finished off the scoring in the 73rd minute, just before he was replaced by Junya Tanaka.

Just 2202 got to the stadium for this match and now that Vissel will "host" JEF in Chiba the chance may be gone to see the team at home in this year's Emperor's Cup.
